We Love the Tamar Valley

- the Best Of Devon and Cornwall

The Tamar Valley - a wide wooded river valley reaching from Bodmin Moor to Dartmoor, from the beaches of East Cornwall, to the towns of West Devon, dotted with ancient mines, Tudor houses, stunning gardens, and rivers to explore and fish.

Tamar Valley Tourism brings together fishing, mining heritage, sailing, gardens, art, canoeing, and eating out with accommodation from hotels to holiday cottages, from B&B's to camping and caravanning, all along the River Tamar, from North Cornwall down past Plymouth to the Rame Peninsula. My name is Charmian Saunders and I joined the committee of TAVATA in June 2017 when I took early retirement from my role as Visitor Services and Volunteer Manager at Cotehele.   I worked for the National Trust for nearly 20 years and as part of my role there I was very involved in marketing and promoting the Tamar Valley.
