Two Months of Music, Art and Literary Events in Devon’s Top Award Winning Market Town
The 16th annual festival in 2018 again features concerts (of a wide range of musical genres), lectures, art exhibitions and workshops, literary workshops and events, theatrical and dramatic performances and an arts market in Bedford Square, under the presidency of the our new President, Andrew Wilson.
|Dante Summer Festival||
The Dante Summer Festival - Bringing Music to Life from the 10th to the 15th July 2017 at St German's, Calstock, Callington, Launceston and Tavistock. Musical themes will be Russian, Czech and Irish, plus a special concert in Launceston celebrating the centenary of the much loved Cornish poet, Charles Causley.
|The Charles Causley Festival||
2018’s annual Charles Causley Festival (the 9th one!) is on its way, with an attractive and varied programme offering something for everyone. It runs from the evening of Thursday 31 May until the evening of Sunday 3 June 2018.
The headline opening attraction for this year is the well-known and well-loved poet and broadcaster, Roger McGough — accompanied by LITTLe MaCHINe, firm Festival favourites who have supported headline poets in previous Causley Festivals.
|Saltash Regatta and Waterside Festival 2017||
Saltash Regatta and Waterside Festival on 17th and 18th June 2017 is one of the most colourful events held in Cornwall and certainly for South East Cornwall is the most popular annual Regatta.
Gig racing, hosted by Saltash based Caradon Pilot Gig Club, is run to the highest standard with rowing on the Saturday, with a Flash Boat Regatta ran by Saltash Rowing Club on the Sunday.
Also on the river you'll find sailing, canoeing, swimming and following on after the success of its inaugural year, this year sees the return of the cardboard boat race on Sunday afternoon!
