And not just country walks either - there are plenty of ways to get outdoors and active,from mountain biking to canoeing to treesurfing.
|St Leonards Equitation Centre||
Horse Riding lessons for adults and children, beginners to advanced.
Undisturbed Burrator is surrounded by mixed woodland which sharply contrasts with the open moor and rugged Dartmoor tors. The reservoir is popular with walkers, cyclists and horse riders due to its wealth of footpaths and bridleways. Many of the trails lead on to Dartmoor so it makes an ideal starting point for longer trips.
The Edgcumbe tea-room on Cotehele Quay is open daily from 10am to 4pm. After a brisk walk enjoy a light lunch and a glass of wine or an afternoon cream tea. Your dog is also welcome.
|Siblyback Lake Country Park||
Siblyback Lake is surrounded by the striking Bodmin Moor and offers a wide range of activities both on and off the water. There is plenty to do at this scenic lake, including miles of walks, cycle trails, excellent bird watching, children's play areas and a cafe overlooking the water.
Paintball and Airsoft Games on a 16 acre purpose built site amongst woodland and by a river.
Located south of Jamaica Inn, the famous smugglers haunt immortalised by Daphne du Maurier, Colliford is a tranquil lake providing some excellent moorland walks.

With over 730 acres of water, Roadford is a spectacular lake set on the edge of Dartmoor between Okehampton and Launceston offering a variety of activities both on and off the water.

|Cotehele (National Trust)||
Cotehele is a National Trust-owned Tudor house with extensive garden, orchards, estate, quay and working water mill. The garden and estate walks are open daily throughout the year. The house is open daily from April to the beginning of November. The mill is open every day from mid March to the end of October.
